We examined the public health threat posed by rodents and the economic losses they cause. Their biology, habits, senses and capabilities were studied and we explored inspection and detection techniques. We reviewed the various options for control: rodenticides, mechanical devices, sanitation, exclusion, etc. Finally, we went over the safety precautions to be taken when dealing with rodent infestations.
